Output signal of load cell and amplifier:
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of Flanged Force Transducer FFG is normally around 2.0mV/V.
Power supply of Flange Type Force Sensor FFG is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of Traction/Compression Force Sensor FFG is normally within -30mV…+30mV.
Example one: Tensile Compressive Force Transducer FFG-50N with 2.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 10V DC,the output range is -20mV...+20mV.
Example two: Tension And Compression Load Cell FFG-20N with 2.0mV/V rated output powered by 5V DC,the output range is -10mV...+10mV.
The mV/V output from the wheatstone bridge sometimes can hardly be processed directly, a signal conditioner can be used with the load cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
Example one: Flange Type Tension Compression Sensor FFG-500N working with amplifier FSC(-10-10V)-24V,the Load-Voltage relationship will be 0-500N compression force VS 0-10V output, 0-500N tensile force VS 0-(-10V) output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, 1V output corresponds to 50N compressive load, (-2V) output corresponds to 100N tension load, and so on.
Example two: Cylindrical Tension and Compression Load Cell FFG-500N working with amplifier FSC(4-12-20mA)-24V,the Force-Current relationship will be 0-500N compression force VS 12-20mA output, 0-500N tension force VS 12-4mA, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, 12mA output corresponds to “0” load, 12.8mA output corresponds to 50N compressive load, 8mA output corresponds to 250N tensile load, and so on.
